• Passage of the Survivorship Law •

Your ability to transfer your motor fuel dealership to a
family member in the event of your death or disability
was a result of WAAA’s lobbying efforts.Without WAAA, PECFA would not be law in Wisconsin.
Without PEFCA, you would have had to deal with
clean-up and pay for it out of your own pocket!

• Establishment of Motor Fuel Shrinkage Allowance •

WAAA successfully lobbied to provide all service
station owners who pay motor fuel taxes to be
reimbursed and repaid .5% of the tax to cover
shrinkage and evaporation costs.
WAAA’s efforts kept .5% of all taxes in your pockets!

• Changes in the Minimum Mark-Up Law •

WAAA has worked successfully in the past year to
require all motor fuel operations to price their product
fairly. This law protects your operation against cutthroat
prices which could put you out of business.

• Creation of Stage II Vapor Recovery Grant Program •

WAAA was the force behind the creation of a grant
program to pay 90% of the cost of retrofitting pumps
to meet Federal EPA standards.
Because of WAAA, gasoline dealers in southeast
Wisconsin were not left holding the bag.Through WAAA’s efforts, the state requirements
regarding the recycling of freon and other
refrigerants were adopted to benefit WAAA members.
